Preparing for Your Remote ADHD Testing

Your remote ADHD testing is scheduled soon! Another message will follow with detailed instructions about the testing process, including specific dos and don’ts. This message is to ensure you have all the necessary equipment and setup ready for the test.

Update Your Computer:

  • Windows Users: Ensure your computer is updated to the latest version. Windows 11 or 10 is recommended.
  • Mac Users: Update your Mac to the latest version.

Install/Update Chrome Browser:

  • Download the Google Chrome browser if not already installed.
  • If already installed, ensure it is updated to the latest version.

Prepare a Mouse:

A Mouse Is Required for Accurate Testing. Using a laptop trackpad may lead to inaccurate results.

  • For Mac or Windows 10 & 11 Users: A wired or wireless mouse is required.
  • For Windows 7 or 8 Users: A wired USB mouse is mandatory for testing.

Set Up Audio:

  • Wired headphones or wired earbuds are recommended to minimize environmental distractions that could interfere with testing.

  • Bluetooth headphones should be avoided, as they may generate inaccurate test results.

  • Built-in laptop or PC speakers may be used only if the environment is quiet and free from noise or interruptions.

Secondary Device for Video Conferencing:

  • Have a second device (e.g., phone, iPad, or another computer) ready to access the video conferencing link via Zoom.
  • Recommended: Download the Zoom app if using a phone, iPad, or Mac.
  • Alternative: Google Chrome can also be used to access the Zoom link.

Guardian/Adult Supervision:

A guardian or adult must be present during the testing to help coordinate and ensure the process runs smoothly.
