About Psychotherapy Referrals at MindWeal

MindWeal provides comprehensive psychiatric care, including diagnostic evaluations and medication management when appropriate.

At this time, MindWeal does not employ in-house psychotherapists. Instead, we collaborate with trusted counseling providers in the community so families can choose a therapist that best fits their needs, preferences, and location.

We plan to add psychotherapy services in the future. Until then, we focus on strong, structured collaboration with community partners.

How to Start Counseling

  • Most counseling practices ask families to contact them directly to schedule appointments
  • A referral is usually not required
  • Please confirm current availability directly with the practice
  • In many cases, we have listed the insurance plans accepted and the age range served; however, families should confirm these details directly with the provider, as they may change

How Collaboration with MindWeal Works

Once you begin seeing a counselor:

  • Return to your MindWeal profile
  • Select your counselor’s name from the dropdown list
    (All listed providers are already in our system)

This allows MindWeal to coordinate care seamlessly with your therapist.

Ongoing Communication

  • If a counseling provider has a secure fax number on file, MindWeal sends clinical updates every 3 months
  • These updates help ensure your care team stays aligned over time
